I have been working as a counselor since 2007 and was the first Muslim therapist in my area. I have worked with immigrants and children of immigrants since the beginning of my work. I focus on intergenerational trauma, working with third-culture kids, and supporting people to work through relational trauma.
I have served on the board of my college MSA and on the board of MSA West. Collaborated with Muslim third spaces to provide therapy to the community. Have worked with CAIR and Islamic Relief. Created the Bay Area Muslim Mental Health Professionals group and collaborated on creating the Muslim Therapist directory for the Bay Area, California.
